This year we look forward to Manhattan Beach weddings, Palos Verdes weddings, Los Angeles weddings, Redondo Beach weddings and Long Beach weddings. We're excited about return engagements soon at the Palos Verdes La Venta Inn and Palos Verdes Wayfarers Chapel, Long Beach's Queen Mary and our first time at the El Segundo Embassy Suites, Venice's Inn at Venice Beach, El Segundo's Automobile Driving Museum and Manhattan Beach's American Martyrs. In October we'll be documenting a same sex wedding in Marina del Rey on the Fantasea Yachts.
We have simchas scheduled at some new (for us) temples, including Long Beach's Temple Israel. We also will have on tap soon return engagements to Congregation Tikvat Jacob in Manhattan Beach, Malibu Jewish Center, Los Angeles's Wilshire Boulevard Temple, the Redondo Beach Temple Menorah, Temple Shalom of the South Bay, Temple Emanuel in Beverly Hills, Santa Ana's Temple Beth Shalom, Temple Akiba in Culver City and Temple Isaiah in Los Angeles.
Graham & Graham Photography are Los Angeles Wedding Photographers and Los Angeles Bar/Bat Mitzvah photographers. We offer classic portraiture, photojournalism, arty shots and the tried and true--big family groups lined up in a row.
We don't charge by the hour--we offer one price for the day, and we usually start our Los Angeles weddings about two hours before the wedding for the classic "prep" shots of the bride and groom. We come to each wedding with one goal--to take our best wedding shots ever.
We also offer videos and deluxe wedding albums in the format of your choice--flush mount, coffee table, magazine style--whatever you like.
South Bay Weddings
Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Palos Verdes, Torrance
Los Angeles Wedding Photo.com is based in Manhattan Beach. We believe the South Bay is the jewel crown of Los Angeles, the ultimate place to have your Los Angeles wedding. There are so many wonderful venues.
The Manhattan Beach Marriott offers the golf course backdrop. The lovely garden setting of Verandas--and ocean view from the upstairs reception ballroom. The cozy courtyard of the Belamar. The Manhattan Beach Shade is just two blocks from the beach. Redondo Beach's Portofino and Crowne Plaza overlook the harbor. Redondo Beach's St. James Parish is also a hop, skip and a jump from the ocean Strand walkway, and has killer stained glass views inside.
And then there's Palos Verdes, our own backyard Hawaii, with magnificent coastal vistas that let you see all of downtown Los Angeles to Malibu at the same time. We love the hideaway charm of La Venta Inn, and the historic, classic "glass church," the Wayfarers Chapel. For the quintessential church by the sea experience, nothing beats the Palos Verdes Neighborhood Church.

Los Angeles Bar/Bat Mitzvah Photography by Graham & Graham
Graham & Graham Photography is a father/son photo team. When it comes to "generation to generation" we know of what we speak. The same goes for bar/bat mitzvah photography.
We like to say that "every temple" is different, and that no two bar/bat mitzvah shoots are the same. At Congregation Tikvah Jacob, our local Manhattan Beach temple, bar/bat mitzvah and family portraits are taken on Thursday or Sunday evenings. No photography during the Saturday service. At Temple Isaiah in Los Angeles, you can photograph during the service--from the back of the room--and do the portraits 90 minutes before the ceremony. At Temple Israel of Hollywood, you take the portraits on another day, and shoot the video during the ceremony--from the balcony!
That said, we generally meet with the nuclear family + grandparents, if around, on Saturday mornings or portrait session day, for one to two hours of photos. This includes the child-who-is-soon-to-be-an-adult reading from the torah, holding the torah and smiling for the camera. (OK, so they won't smile for you--but on their big day, they always smile for us!)
Lighting is very important to us, and we bring along our two Alien Bee monolights and a slew of flashes to make the room come alive.
After the portrait session, it's to the back (if we can shoot) where we put our big 80-200mm 2.8 L Canon lens on our Canon 5D for close-ups, with a 24mm-70mm 2.8 L Canon lens on our 20D for second angles, and document the day. This is usually followed by pictures of the kiddish lunch, and then the Big Party!
Groups! More family pictures. The hora! Celebration. Wild dancing shots.
We invite you to take a look at our various bar/bat mitzvah galleries, as well as our blog, where we regularly post new shots. Better yet--give us a call or e-mail and make an appointment to come see our work (prints, albums, the whole magilla) in person.
